BioNutri Mastic Gum - 30 days supply

BioNutri Mastic Gum - 90 capsules, 30 day supply - £28.55

Product Description:
Bionutri Micronised Mastic Gum plus Licorice 90 capsules:
Mastic gum (Pistacia lentiscus) from the greek island of Chios has been chewed by peoples of the eastern Mediterranean for centuries and is noted for its contribution to digestive system hygiene.

The nutritional benefits of the gum are now available as a supplement in a capsule so that the gum no longer need be chewed. When powdered to make a supplement, Mastic gum will gradually repolymerise into a single resinous mass. Bionutri has overcome this problem by using a micronisation process that allows the gum to remain as tiny particles and disperse across the gastric and intestinal tract.

Bionutri Micronised Mastic Gum also incorporates:
Licorice (Glycyrriza glabra) which has long associations as a traditional foodstuff that supports both digestive and immune health and helps to sustain harmony within the micro environment of the gastric and intestinal tract.

Why The Hering Clinic Recommends this Product:
Here at The Hering Clinic we have used Mastic Gum in cases of heartburn and acid reflux.  General support for an irritable or inflamed digestive tract.

Mastic Gum
In clinical human research studies, mastic gum inhibited and reduced over-production of foreign organisms in the stomach and duodenum (Al-Habbal et al.: 1984).  When digestive flora is imbalanced, mastic gum appears to work on foreign organisms by disrupting their energy production and then rupturing their cells (Howez F et al.: 1998) (Marone P et al: 2001).  Some researchers believe that mastic gum works by stimulating increased production of protective and soothing stomach lining.

Licorice
Licorice in its deglycyrrhizinated form has been shown to be useful in clinical trials for gastic ulceration (Larkworth W: 1975) (Borrelli F:2000).  It healed approximately 63% of gastric ulceration after 6 weeks and 91% after 12 weeks (Morgan et al.: 1982).  Licorice has also demonstrated effectiveness in reducing dyspepsia (Madisch A et al.: 2004) (Melzer J et al.: 2004).

Licorice may also exert antifungal properties, particularly in regard to candida infection and in addition some effects against Staphylococcus aureus (Fatima A et al.: 2009).
